Plenty of other options, and of course, you take your no claims with you, so don't worry - You might even find much cheaper - just shop around.

if thats what they said then its blatant discrimination and you should report them to the insurance ombudsman.

Speak to Gary Moulson as suggested before, I doubt very much if you will need to shop around after speaking with him.

I wouldnt touch Admiral, if they were giving insurance away for free - bad personal experience.

Look in the insurance section on here, he's usually posting on there.

Otherwise do a search for keith michaels, and phone and ask to speak to Gary Moulson.

They wouldnt insure me against theft and attempted theft until they had proof of the tracker, so I had to hope and pray nobody would steal it for 48hrs before they confirmed they had received the proof, I'm off to direct line, they have cut £200 off my bill with protected no claims, £150 excess so I'm a happy now.

it's the underwriters they won't budge at all..previously we would insure anyone anyage on scooby's then it went to 23 min age but now it's 25 which sucks!, but obviously they choose the risk they are willing to take on.

They did the same to me, first in march when i brought the car my girlfriend had to wait until june when she turned 23 to be added to the insurance. Then in November I had a letter saying that they would no longer insure me, phoned around and got a quote from Aplan for £1400 whilst all the other were quoting £1800+, eventually went with elephant, my girlfriend insured the car using her 5 years ncb and we got it for £1200 protected. Also insured her beetle 2.3 V5 with elephent as they were the best quote again.

We thank you for taking the time to complete an online quotation enquiry.

Unfortunately the details entered into the system do not fit the required criteria for our specialist schemes.
Additional Information:
We are currently unable to quote this postcode sector due to our bad claims experience.

Sorry we are unable to help.

Moleys quote is managable, but he doesnt do laid up insurance whilst I'm saving for my new clutch, anyone know how long I can not have insurance before I lose my NC ?

think its a year or so. if its laid up don't forget to put it on sorn, also you may find while its laid up, if in the garage, its covered by house and contence insurance (need to check the small print for that though)
