Is it true that no claims bonus can only be used on one policy at a time? My friend reckons his dad is first driver insured on all of there five policies and using his no claims discount on every policy? huh? Unless he just doesnt understand? Please someone clairify? Can you use your no claims bonus on more than one policy? If some insurance companies do, which ones?

no insurance company will let you use the same noclaims on more than one car, some companies will ask you if you have another car and how many no claims you have on it but non of them will allow you use them on more than one car.

if ya m8s dad had a crash he will be in big doo doo if they check on that national insurance database thing

You can have more than one policy with different insurers and earn NCB on each policy. However, it is not possible to use one policies NCB against another vehicle , that has to be earned independently.
It is possible that the Dad has 5 different policies each earning there own respective NCB on each of the vehicles.
However, it is not possible to use the NCB from one vehicle against others unless a multi car policy under one insurer. IMHO
