Default 23 years old wrx?

Hi

I have owned a wrx for the last 9 months and sold to purchase a house.

I am now looking at buying another, but cant find insurance quotes under £2k!

I am 23 (24 in a week) got 5 years no claims, no accidents, and have only one SP50 3 points £60 fine from 2 years 10 months ago.

My last insurance was for £1,180 with A-Plan, but Im struggling with getting anywhere near this now, and nothing has changed.

Can anyone help?

Ive tried most places mentioned on here, and can only guess that Insurance has shot up over the past few months? Even Tesco opted out, and they would have insured me for £980 last year!!

I havent rung you yet, but plan to do so at renewal time. When I rang this year you couldnt quite beat A-plan because of my age.

I have spoken to A-plan in Thatcham this morning and they will Re-insure me on a WRX for the same price plus £20 admin charge to swap vehicles back again. They said that if I were a new customer they probably wouldnt as theres been a few claims amongst young drivers in Subarus so their tightening thier belts.

My policy is underwriten by Markerstudy, and im very happy with the qoute so hopefully come re-newal time in April if i do have another scoob A-plan or yourselves can give me a very competative qoute .

ditto your problem. i buoght a wrx after only having a licence for two months lol, but still managed to get insured through screentrade for £2250 fully comp. got rid of car due to impending engine failure. got a naff diesel now, but wanted another scoob asap. insurance quotes now coming in at £3000. bloody silly, so im not gonna bother unless i can get it similar to above earlier price. may go for a little pug gti until i have a year ncb next june and im nearly 32 myself.
