Don't know who will do it, but if you do find someone post the results here, as i have had a lot of calls from 19/20 year olds recently and i can't quote them, but would like to know where to recommend them to speak to

I'm pretty sure that you won't be able to get insured until you're 21.

I tried b4 I reached that age with no luck ( and boy, did I make some calls! ).

I know thats not what you want to hear, but it is for a reason. Experience.
I'm 23 now (24 in oct), and i'm sure I would have crashed a scoob at 19!
I know that you think that you're unstoppable at that age, but I had quite a few 'scary' moments in my old cars. I had a 1.7Diesel Astra estate when I was 17, a golf 1.6 mk4 from 18-21, then been driving a scoob ever since.

My 1st years insurance on the sti was ..... wait for it..... £2500! year 2 was £1700, and this year (on a modded UK MY99 Turbo) is around £900.

Good luck, cause you're going to need it!

echo that. passed test in march (was 21 at time) had a scooby sport as first car - crashed it (but no fault of my own - bloody rabbits) then went and bought a wrx. insurance is a **** but i have a fast car and now know it so dont really test its limits. until im far more experienced a driver il use it for posing purposes and the noise of the engine lol.

(sounds chavish i know but id rather pose then think im invincible and race everything in site!)

good luck mate with the insurance you will need it even with 3 years no claims. im lucky i got insured really as i was 21 then (22 now) with no ncb etc.

If its a uk spec, then try high performence.

Ring this guy 02089393027

They only insure imports for 21 and over (9months earlier and I wouldve had a scoob that I couldnt drive!)

Im 22 and im insured for £1600 4yrs NCB FC.

Its a cough cough, standard wrx import my95. WIth a cat1 alarm imobiliser on. The policy requisre me to have a cat 1 alarm as its an import.

Im sure my insurence is cheap as im an engineer and with no licence I have no job, so think they took that into consideration.

I also paid it all up front to reduce the price by £100.

high performance will only quote you if you have owned and driven the vehicle for a year as their losses on scoobs with young drivers is too much. I tried with them and I was 29 at the time with a few years no claims

You need a list of insurers and a large tub of vaseline, because when you do find one that will insure you it will ease the pain I paid £1850 tpf+t when I was 22 on my 93 import with elephant, and they were one of only 2 companies that would insure me

I was 24 when i got my MY04 Sti & that was new. I paid £700 odds & that was with elephant.
I also insured a GT3 with Adrian Flux that cost me £1100 but still worth it.
Now 26 & had a 535d & a 330d cab at the same time insurance was about 1k for both. Got an E320 CDi at the moment & thats £396.
I have full NCB, been driving since a week after my 17th birthday & fcukin love it

i was with elephant with my imported mr2 turbo (group 17) it cost me just over £1000, i sold the mr2 and asked about the cost on a imported wrx, Elephant wanted £2000+, when i ask why cus its the same group and a import they told me its was group 20 with them, i said fu*k is it!!!

i went from the start of the yellow pages to the end (missed tesco first time around) and the cheapest i got was £2200, most would not insure me at all. the best pee take was Impreza insurance, they would not insure me, they dont insure any imports, i have never had claim in 6 years of driving and have 3 points in the last 5 years (for doing 38 in a 30 zone) why!!!!(ps I am 24)

i was almost ready to give up when i called Tesco, they take into account the tracker and cat 1, quoted me around £700 full comp and then give me £50 worth of fuel FREE, for going with them!

I then called another insurance company that advertised they would beat any quote given, so as Tesco was £700 I given them a go to see what they would say, anyway, called and was told that I was talking rubbish and Tesco were lying! Even have Tesco fax off the order to confirm (they were happy too) guess what, the insurance company kept cutting me off every time I rang ( 4 times!) not going to say who they were but you can guess!

you have litterally no chance at 19.

Swinton WILL insure you but it will cost you around 5K. yes 5K.

do what i did. work ya **** off for another year and when your 20 get a WRX300 and insure it with elephant/admiral and you will pay around 2K.

other than that i dont know of any other option.
