Default Which insurance company?

Hi guys and Gals,

Have used the search function to find the best insurance companies for scoobys but not found a great deal.

I have called A plan and can get insurance for £649 fully comp,

This is on a MY03WRX with no PPP standard with no tracker only cat 1 alarm immob

I'm 30, 10yrs full NCD with no points, accidents etc

anyone got a reasonable list of companies that specialise in scooby's except A plan?

Oh and I tried confused. com and moneysupermarket .com.

Tried admiral multicar and found scooby was £517!!! with my little 1ltr corsa being £260 both on same policy, but, put the scooby in on a one car policy and it comes out at £760!!!!

Any help or insurance company lists would be appreciated.

cheers

Erm...there is a scoobynet section dedicated to insurance here

or you could try the autotrader insurance search here my best quote was from A Plan but, the next best was from here.

In my opinion Keith Michaels are better than A-Plan (and their policies certainly are); give Gary Moulson a call.

Try A-Plan again. I got a much lower quote the 2nd time around for some reason. £530 for standard 04 spec WRX, 6+years NCB, protected and a Manchester post code

I was about to say that! Theres a substantial difference between covering you with mods (which A-Plan do) and covering your mods.....

OK cheers guys I will bear that in mind if I decide to do some mods

I joined this forum before I got my motor so that I could find out a bit of info on things such as where to insure? etc.

I got some silly quotes £900 but I also didn't get the call back some companies promised as well. I assumed they were in a different ball park or couldn't quote at all. A Plan called back when they said they were going to, beat the target I was hoping to pay and meet all the other criteria ie excess, protected NCB.

I paid £450 which seemed ok to me after reading some of the threads in the insurance section.

Thanks once again for your input, I will obviously have to check it out with A Plan before I decide on any mods. Its going to scoobyclinic this week for a cam belt and oil change so I have already been tempted by all the goodies when I went to book it in

Mick

called gary at keith michaels. they'll insure me for £639 including all mods (sti 8 rear spolier, ecutek etc. better than A plans £649 with no mods.

But, if I was to leave it standard and add an rac Trackstar tracker privilage would do if for £409!!!!!!!!!!!

problem is tracker costs £299 plus £10 per month subscription so works out more expensive in the long run.

cheers for all the answers guys and gals
