Insurance benchmark
As a benchmark for any of you who are about to take out insurance.
Currently insured by elephant.co.uk - last year paid £1500 fully comp.
Renewal this year with elephant - £1025 (now with 1 year NCD)
Best quote on confused.com - £750 (high excess, no legal cover, etc)
2nd best confused.com quote - £824 (insured with Admiral)
A-plan original quote - £1049
A-plan quote after telling them of Admiral quote - £820.
A-plan - sold to the man called Trap2Terrorist
£820 fully comp (0 points, 1 year NCD), inc. £250 excess, legal expenses, windscreen, etc).

i take it you had a full 12 month policy with Elephant and not a 10 month policy? as you can't take your 1 years bonus away from Elephant if its not a 12 month policy.
