Thumbs up Greenlight - Agreed value for modified vehicles

Hi Guys,

Just to make you all aware, in addition to offering relevant benefits like track cover and like for like replacement cover (rather than "replace as standard") for modified/aftermarket parts we can also offer "agreed" value cover.

There is a due diligence process for agreement and assessment (ie photographs/copy receipts for modifications), but once achieved this will clarify the exact amount you will be paid in event of a total loss (theft/write off) claim.

It is an option that you have to request and isnt automatically added, so if you wish to opt for this extension you will need to request this when arranging or renewing cover .

So, if you need a quotation and drive a modified impreza log onto www.greenlightinsurance.com or call Greenlight on 01277 263030 for a quotation.

Kind regards

Tony

NB. This cover is currently available to all UK impreza's & excludes imports.

Just put a quote request in, lets see what they come back with!

edit: Late £700s for a fully loaded 2.5ltr 400bhp track monster with 6k road miles, oh yes and 40+ in earth years.

Not a bad quote for those worrying about going the full hog on their car.

Hi Pete..

I'll check it out.

Salford will probably be a problem for our underwriters though buddy.

Manchester premium received £228,000

Manchester claims paid £1,837,000

Loss ratio = 806% (ie. For every £100 received, we paid out £806)

We're happy to find an "open market" quote if the vehicle is not modified, but unfortunately most of our specialist underwriters exclude the Manchester/Liverpool/Oldham areas in order to remain competitive in all other areas.

Kind regards

Tony

Is this just for Impreza's, or any cars?

And how do you do with BB (Blackburn) postcodes?

Hi Weaver,

This is for ALL vehicles, not just scoobies. But we only cover performance vehicles here at greenlight so it will be based upon performance & modified vehicles covered in that area.

Most of the BB postcodes are ok, but BB1 & 2 along with burnley (BB10/11) are 'refer' area's. Which means we can do them, but you would have to have experience of a performance vehicle and have a decent history to date.

If you need a quote, we'd be happy to help you.. so if you get 5 mins spare pop onto www.greenlightinsurance.com or call us on 01277 263030.

Kind regards

Tony

Erm... "SCOOBY"NET

We associate with and advertise upon Scoobynet because we cover Scoobies .

Although we can cater for some other performance marques we do not specialise in covering Elise models and currently do not have access to a competitive scheme to place them upon.

Our providing you an uncompetitive quote for an Elise would waste both your and our time.. so we refrain from doing so.

If we manage to source an Elise scheme in the future you will be the first to know.

Kind regards

Tony

As an independent Broker, we can quote and offer 'open market' quotations for ALL vehicles..

I'd be happy to quote for your Elise, but cannot guarantee how competitive we would be as we have no specific scheme in place to cover them.

If you wish to complete an online quotation form at www.greenlightinsurance.com i'll get an open market quotation for you.

Following on, the "ALL" vehicles part of my prior post that you mention in the thread was in respect of our poor claims performance within the Manchester postcode areas.

The claims statistics were in relation to "ALL" vehicles that we cover in the Manchester area & not just for Subaru's.

I remember in my Vauxhall days you never use to cover South Wales, I presume this applied to all performance cars, does this still apply these days?

Hi Simb,

We can cover most of South Wales now, other than central cardiff and parts of the valleys.

Providing you have experience of a performance vehicle & have lived in your postcode at your current address for at least a year we should be able to help.

You mentioned your "Vauxhall" days, were you in the VPCC then?

Kind regards

Tony

I was, you had a scheme where you gave discount to VPCC members (think 10%) but unfortunately for the South Wales owners were excluded. It was a shame as alot of us wanted agreed values at the time.

Guys I cannot recommend Greenlight enough and Tony helped me out personally with a claim that went a bit pear shaped.

Good service and very decent people and the premuiums remain very competetive and I'd not hesitate to recommend them.
