I had to do the ring-around last Friday. These are the results for a 44-year old driving an 02 STI Type UK, totally clean licence, no accidents, garage, 10k miles a year, safe town, £500 excess. The figure in brackets is for mods taking the power to about 320bhp, which are planned for early next year. Quotes:

Greenlight: £757.75 (£827 ish)

A-Plan: £769.00 (£884)

Keith Michaels: £625 (£690 ish)

Subaru Insured: £615.72 (£923.32. Came down to £875.71 after a talk)


Just for comparison:

Norwich Union: £795.00, no mods figure (Indian phone monkey)

Tesco: £973.35 - ha bl**dy ha!
