Exclamation

I'm about to buy a new MY01 and made a few calls to see if I could afford the insurance.

Greenlight, Flux and a few others coming in at £900.

But Direct Line and Tesco - much cheaper £650/£700, until..... I told them the car was coming from Belgium. Result £300 hike.

When I asked why this was, they told me difficuly to get parts :-(, more risky etc. etc.

I think they're getting confused here - since a Belgian import is identical to a UK except the alarm.

I need to pursue this a bit more, 'cos of the money involved.

Anybody else had the same problem?

I got a quote from Tescos and called it a UK car from Belgium and had no problems.

Stress its a parallel import and identical to a UK car!
