I am about to get a Scoobysport back box fitted to my MY99 and wanted to see if it will impact my insurance.

People I have spoken to have said that it shouldn't, but I justed wanted to be sure.

The same applies to an ITG panel filter that I am thinking of adding at the same time.

Has anyone had to pay more for such add ons in the past? I just want to get some facts before I inform the insurers.

Cheers

Peter,

I'm insured with Admiral, at the moment, and 8 months into the policy they charged me £20 for both SS Backbox and ITG filter.

Unhappy

Rang my insurers yesterday to tell them about the SS back box and they have loaded my premium by 15%!! Thankfully, I only have a few months left on it before I venture out and find someone who doesn't penalise for mods.

Apparently, their policy is that any mod results in 15%.

But, that was soon forgotten when I drove it back from Scoobysport
