Just been through the insurance renewal process for my own car....
(24, 98MY, 5dr, UK, Cat 1, 13,000mpa, no points ever, 1 claim >5 years ago, car parked off public road, Aberdeenshire postal code, SDP).
Admiral came back to me with a quote for £1000 for a ten month policy. That's up a fair bit from the £750 (ten month) they've charged me for the last couple of years (20 months) in total. Like 25% up, with a two years added NCB.
So Miles went phoning about:
Taylor Price were £1300
Bell Direct were £1100, they suggested Hillhouse Hammond and put me through - HH's operators were busy and I couldn't be bothered waiting for a quote.
So whilst feeling depressed finally phoned Privilege and for a full 12-monther it's £750 To add the old man was precisely £0.00!
Nice! My insurance has effectively *gone* down £250 this year. I can live with that. It's nice to buck trends, the Right Way!
