Default TypeR Insurance

Have tried a couple of quotes online.....

for some of them the Type R isn't coming up...but an WRX STi Import is....

when I spoke to privilege they said it would be the same car....

does anyone know if this is right?

Admiral are the same.....

have said though that they have got it down as a WRK Sti (Import) and that its a 2L, 2 door.....

seems right....

anyone?

You really need to ensure its says Type R on certificate to make your insurance water tight. Verbal agreement isnt good enough as its not traceable in the event of any dispute. Remember there are Type RAs, V-Ltd, P1s etc that can *loosely* fit that description too.

L&V have insured my type R as a WRX STI Import (2dr) which is exactly what it is so as long as you have some kind of letter from the insurance company stating that the car is a wrx/sti import (2dr) and the 2 dr bit is important then you are ok

thats what i was thinking....the typeR is the only 2dr one (isnt it?!?!) so surely it must be that one.....getting them to send out the quote so I can double check it all

If there's defo a letter stating the description and mods, then that fine .

22B is also a 2DR...
