Put it this way.....

If you have fitted a FMIC, and don't declare it to the insurers....

Do you think they will pay out in the event of a claim, if they realise that it is fitted to your car???

If you insure it as "...not modified in any way from the Manufacturer's specification...", then by the 'book', that's what it's got to be, in order to remain covered by them...

Wether you are able / have time to remove it, prior to an inspection/claim is a different matter

Maybe they wouldn't even realise it was there, if it was finished in black...They might realise the TMIC is missing though !

phone up your insurance company and ask them the question, they may say to add that Mr X will put £x on your premium, or they may say no extra cost.

IMO, I think that you will be looking at a price hike, as this is a "performance enhancing modification"

I'm not an insurance broker LOL
