Default 21 insurance on a sti or sti ra?

going offshore shortly and considering one of the above!

i only have a years no claims but live in a good postcode
any ideas where i may get a better quote than this?
somebody else i spoke to seemed to think this was pretty cheap for my age and gender!

Question

Tell us what company then, after hours spent today getting qoutes online and ringing 6 different companies the only 1 quote i have got is £4k on a MY99 standard UK turbo and i'm 22 with 2 yrs ncd and live in good area.

There are very few companies who'll insure under 25s on Imprezas and similar performance cars now.

just tried elephant and they wanted £3,700 FC on a £13k RB5 WR with a few mods. 3 months ago Tesco's would've insured me FC on this very same car for £1,850 !!! but they won't at all now
