LV - Track Cover Included?
I've got a policy with Liverpool Victoria and I'm sure I remember reading on here sometime that they include track cover, is this right? On my insurance certificate it says:
Exclusions
Use for hire or reward, racing, pacemaking, speed trials or competing in rallies....
So does that mean I'm covered fully comp as usual for doing a track day at Curborough? Only 1 car on track at a time if that makes a difference.

I asked them the same question, and the lady asked her supervisor-she read it to me from their underwriters booklet, and she said trackdays are coveredas long as you arent racing against anyone or are doing timed laps.
Basically, trackdays are supposed to be there so you can give your car some stick in a safe environment, and NOT a race of any kind.IMO The quieter(more expensive) ones are better as you only get about 5/6 cars on track at one time, and less likely to get "red mist" problems
Its great that LV actually see T.days for what they are.

...at the moment
in theory all insurance policies should cover trackdays as the exclusions are usually the same; race, rally, time trials etc.

Cheers guys.
I gave them a ring to check. Took a fair while for them to decide, but they decided I was covered provided there's no racing and it's not timed. I have to take reasonable care and stuff too, although I wasn't actually going to be seeking to stuff it anyway .
They said it's not going to last though, they've been having numerous claims from trackdays so it will become one of the exceptions pretty soon.
Cheers,
Ben
