Do people in insurance just make things up or have no idea :(
I am now at the ripe old age of 30, and was quite happy that recent insurance quotes were looking much better for Scoobs, Evo's etc etc.
So I come to get some quotes this week for my 205 - Mi16, K&N, Magnex, Brakes, std looking.
I want comp cover, agreed value, and protected NCD.
My info - Aged 30, Blackburn postcode, 5000 miles per annum, 7 years NCD, no points, no claims.
So far - £800-1450 best quotes.
Whats going on??? Why can underwriters not learn more about the places we live. One guy said its cos I liver near Blackburn (i'm 20 miles away), and its not as if Blackburn is rough - Bolton, Leeds maybe, but Blackburn????
So once again, the insurance hunt begins!!! Tesco have quotes me £420 TPFT as a renewal, but I never trust them at noting down mods properly.

Im trying to get my insurance on my mondeo down to something less than what the car is worth (most people want over 700 quid
) even though ive a clean driving record etc, seems they load this postcode upto around 69%
Ok, i do 20k per annum in this car but you would have thought it would be cheaper that this
