cat d is usually light damage.... repairable.
Would want to know reason thou... dealer should know(see hpi check), hpi check should be able to tell u sometimes stolen/recovered light damage is cat d etc.
Also getting insurance might be a bit of a pain, may be cos the 'advisors' u phone up dont know jack/cant be bothered or whatever but many won't quote when u mention its cat d.

don't know tbh.... what sort of price is a normal car going for?
insurance will probably be higher, there's less insurance companies that will even quote for a cat d car, and since impreza's are not the easiest car to insure in the first place, and can have some interesting terms, ie low valuation and even tpo cover..
then think of your re-sale if you ever wanted to, would put alot of private buyers off and most dealers probably wouldn't want it as a trade-in.

Exclamation

i think the price of a normal car is between £12000 and £13000 so it is going very cheep.I have had a few quotes which range between £460 and £900 and i have given the reg so they should know it's a cat d?
