How much more for 3 points speeding
Just yesterday evening on the way to work was caught speeding doing 55mph in 40 limit, Westmidlands Sutton Coldfield area.
Before I make my insurance aware does anyone know how much insurance will go up.

Well I have had a clean licence for 12 years up until yesterday. I spoke to a friend who told me it would proberly will go up another £30?

I used to work for Norwich Union and in your circumstances they would have not charged you more because of the nature of the offence and because of your clean licence.
It may be different for other companies, but I wouldn't have thought so.
