LivVic- 'Quick Quotes'- How Accurate Are They?
#1
just got a few 'quick quotes' off Liverpool Victoria and basically they seem to good to be true.
they quoted me .........
(all under my dads name with full NCB with me as a 19yo named driver)
£450 fully comp on a Saxo VTR (previous best £750ish)
£950 fully comp on a Saxo VTS (previous best in excess of £4000)
so, has anybody completed one of these and then rang up to get a totally different quote because these seem far too cheap to me???
also, if the quotes are this cheap what are they like on modifications. ive seen a few threads singing the praises of liverpool victoria and from what ive seen so far its true. i just hope these quotes are accurate.
any info on this much appreciated.

They came up with a quote of about £450 for me last year which turned into £850 when I phoned them. They claimed to be astounded about the difference. Lots of people rave about their rates but they've never even been in the ballpark when I've got a quote from them.

Mine was pretty much there or there abouts.
In fact it was so good that I kept phoning them up to make sure and each time it got a little cheaper.
Class 1 use and partners seems to be farily standard at no cost too. Probably depends on age/location etc but they were *very* good for

dean: a quick quote is just that. you enter vehicle, ages of drivers on the policy and postcode and it gives you an estimate of what the quote will be. takes about 30 seconds and is meant to give you an idea of what the policy will cost.
anyway, forget that. when i rang back i got told they didnt touch under 21s with a shi**y stick. and the way they spoke to me wasnt particularly professional either so im not a fan anymore.
plus i just got a blindingly good quote from elephant so its not all bad and i can buy this online too so theres no need to be ringing p arrogant ar*eholes who get annoyed because i want to insure a decent car.
