I just did this:
Scoobies in the snow

I did have 5 years no claims bonus but not protected, insurance company wouldn't do it "due to my age".

Does anyone know how much no claims bonus I will lose, looks like a 11K/12K write off?

Depending on their step-back rule, your looking at losing two years.
