Unhappy

Hi all,

After 3 1/2 years as a diabetic who has managed on drugs and diet to control the condition I'm soon to go onto insulin which means an automatic 3 year licence (assuming they ok it which they should).

Is there any other diabetic scoob drivers out there and does having the 3 year licence/being on insulin make a difference to your premium? I'm 32 with a Type R Sti4 with light mod's - no hypos so far etc.? I'm insured with Link at Osbournes and Sons and already pay £895 a year with compulsory 'higher than normal levels of security'....My quack reckons I may get hit with a loaded premium but I'm led to believe this is discriminatory and illegal?

Cheers.

I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago (although I don't drive a scoob). made absolutely no difference to the insurance at all. Current insurers Tesco weren't interested at all when I tried to tell them but in the past other companies have just made a note on their records.

Will make no difference, If an Insurance company loads a premium due to any form of disability, they are discriminating and will have alot of explaining to do, with numerous insurance bodies.
