STI8

Just ordered my first Subaru and STI8 PPP brand new. Looking on here it looks like L+V would be the cheapest but they have just quoted me £995. Me pushing 40, wife 30+, car garaged, full no claims, <6K per year, not even a speeding ticket yet alone any claims, living in semi rural Yorkshire.
Does this sound OK or are they taking the pith.

Sounds reasonable
I have just insured my " delivered in 10 days " STi8 ( non PPP ) and it cost just over £900 with admiral
Age 37 , other half 34
5 yrs NCB from company car , business use , 25k miles per year
L+V are usually cheapest but they didn't want to play ball re my NCB

I just did the rounds of some of the bigger name insurance companies the other week.
Granted it was for an STi7 with NO PPP but, Privilege were the cheapest for me as the only driver & Norwich Union were the best when adding my wife as a named driver (she's only had a full licence for less than a year). We are both early forties and I have 7 years NCB. Incidentally, when I asked Norwich Union what the difference would be for an STi8, the quote was about £11 less!!
