Liverpool Victoria did to me I have 3 for an SP50 and when I rang to declare them, they said, and I quote "We don't care about speeding"

Cheers,
James.

3 points shouldn't be a problem with any insurance company.

Tried Bell Direct and it went up about £100 (from £583). Haven't got the points yet but expecting 3 minimum as got caught (I think) by one of those mobile gatsos lastnight (poking out the back of a Police LWB thingy) on the A262 - dual carriageway going into a 50 limit, not sure what speed I was doing by the time I got into the 50 but probably more than 60! Renewal due 20/6!

Most Insurance companies these days let the 1st speeding offence go, as they are getting so common-place, There are still however some bad apples out there.
If your shopping around you may find the following link useful clicky

Scooby96 - don't want to get your hopes up but we have had those vans around our way and they are checking for car tax dodgers. Big national clampdown going on at the moment.

However, I had 8 points on my licence at one stage and my insurance was unaffected. If it's a basic 10mph over the limit type thing they usually ignore them. Even my mum has 3 points, lol.

Cool

mate of mine has 9, and it cost him £35 on a £900 policy. I've got 3 and its made no differenec.

And yes, even my mum has 3 points. My Dad had 6 just before his death last year.

I got banned for doing 73 mph in a 30 limit, when my 2 month ban was up my insurance was cheaper, yes cheaper than when i had points alone as the offence code was sp30 and the insurance company told me they allow two convictions for speeding, result or what.

I learned my lesson tho, i now stick to 72!!

Joking!!
