Has anyone made a claim on their policy with protected no-claims discount??

If so, did your premium rise when you renewed you insurance??

My insurers tell me it won't but to be honest - I don't believe them!

the no claim discount is taken off the overall risk. Someone who has made a claim will be a higher overall risk so even though the no claims percentage is maintained, it is deducted from a higher figure so yes, the premium goes up.

i had protected ncb with norwich union last year. i claimed for a new screen in that year and when it came to renewal time the premium went up because of the claim.
