Churchill, Norwhich Union, Norwhich Union Direct, Versus ECU Monitor

Beware!
I was insured with an AA Branded Churchill Policy on my STi7, £855
I fitted Subaru Front Fogs, Parrot Bluetooth Handsfree Phone System, and PSI3 S.E.C.S. ECU Monitor S1004 in the Subaru Pod.
I wrote and told the AA about these three items, to cut a very long and tedious story very short Churchill withdrew insurance cover on my beloved STi7 because the ECU Monitor was not a Subaru Part Number!
The AA put me on an AA Branded Policy with Norwhich Union Ltd £943.
I went on Norwhich Union's Direct Website and resulting from that I am now with them £595-96!

Additional Stuff as above.
Age 55yrs
7 Yrs + No Claims
Protected No Claims
Courtesy Car up to one week
Legal Representation on contested claims
Monthly Payment Plan
Locked In Garage
Lincoln Post Code

i supprised about the secs monitor, no performance gains and all that.
how do you fancy a meet up sometime for a beer, theres about 10 of us in the Lincoln area, we have a meet every month or so.

Les,
Just looked at NU's website and is says that to get a quote the car must not be modified. Did you get a base quote from the web and then use that ref nr when calling NU etc
