HELP! - renewal with 1 claim goes crazy

27 years old, have MY98 UK turbo wagon. Clean license, passed the test in January'02, had full russian license since 1992. What else? married, area is PA4 (Renfrew), non-smoker
The problem is that I wrote a scooby off last November (valued 7200) and got another scooby to keep going on the same policy.
4th of May is renewal. Just got a renewal letter from my company (Royal&Sun alliance through a friendly broker) and it's absolutely mental - 3950!
I will try to call Tesco (althrough I don't have a tracker) and LV (althrough I'm not 30 years old yet).
Any other ideas?
And I've seen some peeps here are in insurance business, they are welcome to enquire any further details by e-mail and any quote under 2000 will strike the deal. e-mail is [EDITED OUT]@mail.ru, mobile is 07734037934, it's always on.
I feel I should put the scooby up for sale in autotrader!
