im just about to come into a bit of money, and fancy a scoob. a wrx is probably the best option, or so i thought........ got an insurance quote from tesco of £2000 for wrx. A uk impreza turbo is about £1100.(fully comp)
Im 25, have 5 years protected no claims, no accidents, and live in manchester. 3 pts for traffic signal violation (i was framed)

go to the insurance forum. There are loads of companies you can try on there.

By the way I am 36, own an Sti8 Type UK, Fully comp, clean, protected etc low excess (and what I consider quality cover, not just cheap and chearful) and it costs me £1157

I have had quotes as low as £800, but the cover always leads a bit to be desired.

Cool

You boys should count yourself lucky.

Im with Tesco found them to be the best around, Im 21 with 1 years no claims, and I have owned a Turbo WRX for 6 months it may cost me £3147 to insure but she's worth every penny!!

I'm not complaining. I just doubt the quality of some of these 'cheap' deals thats all. Done my homework and happy with CIS at £1157 @ 36 Yrs old. 03 Sti8, so I'm not skimping on cover thankyou very much

Anyone know why companys are so reluctant to insure Scoobys at the moment ?

Before i got that quote from Tescos, i was getting quotes of up to £1200, either that or they wouldn't touch me.
It was easier insuring the Cossie than trying to get someone to do the Scoob.
