Can someone tell me how long points last on your license, is it 3 or 4 yrs.

4 yrs for your licence and 5 yrs for your insurance company.

Depends when you got them.
The rules change a couple of years back, prior to that points came off your liscense after three years.
Insurance companies will go back five years, regardless if your liscense is clean or not.
