After 2.5 years covered under company insurance, Im back to having to buy it for myself.

Prior to company insurance I held 5 years NCD, and have not had any claims through the company.

Any recommendations on who would offer the best NCD now?

You could try Direct Line. I had been under company car insurance for 9 years with two no fault accidents (one uninsured driver so technically went agaisnt me as claim).

I'm sure they gave me the benefit of two or three years NCD back in 1999.

My father just went back into private motoring after 20 years+ on a company policy. He spoke to the company insurers and they gave him a letter to take to his new insurers giving his claim history. Got full NCD with new company.... worth trying?

Wink

Try Tesco, I phoned them and they started off my insurance as long as i sent them a letter from my companies insurance broker stating that i "had a blame free period of insurance with my company for 5 years". i believe they recognise upto 5 years NCD which has contributed 40% No claims on my policy. Everything went like clockwork, honest no probs. NOTE: dont try and get your policy on-line, its poo. Phone them direct on 0845 300 9900.

Good luck !

Good luck!
