Just got a quote for a MY02 WRX £799 fully comp - that included 10 percent for paying with my egg card. Whats more they didnt ask if it had a tracker. Oh I am over 30 and have 6 years NCB.

Just thought I'd get a quote, and it asked for Tracker Horizon, or Monitor.

I don't have a Scooby at but it gave me £720 for a '97 UK car, and £1097 for a WRX

its funny how one person gets a good deal and someone else doesn't!! The quoted me £1122.45 on an '02 WRX and wouldnt insure for theft unless a tracker was fitted!

Seems that the day of the week and time of day is used when calculating premiums, all bordering on random!

I used to have an Imported '94 Toyota Supra before buying my '95 Scooby WRX, I found Insurance quoyes to be verging on ridiculous I am 28 4 years NCB Clean License except a slight tea stain, and was getting quotes of around £2000 - £3000 I have now taken out a motor traders policy and I pay £1000 Fully comp, anyone else can drive my car fully comp as long as I am with them plus I am covered to drive anyones car fully comp , my car doesnt have to be alarmed let alone trackered (although it is) only draw back is with total loss you only get trade value plus 10%

p.s Amazing how nice insurance companies are til you make a claim

Monkey jims

Yep Traders are good but when/if you have a crunch you have to prove you are a proper trader,e.g show bills of sale etc etc.

Know someone who has been there;(
