Just been trying insurance quotes on line and they are ridiculously high about 3-4,000 quid. Granted I have just written my scoob off in an accident (which I think they are saying was my fault, but it's yet to be sorted).

I want to get another one but not at those prices. Do you reckon that if I phone direct they'll be alot cheaper or wot.

sometimes it's worth going to a broker that can deal directly with the insurance company underwrites. Unfortunately I don't think it will help much as the broker has to negotiate down the risk you present rather than a piece of software just sloting you at a high risk etc. - & the fact you have a claim... doesn't help them
