Cheaper Car Insurance in Northern Ireland?
#1
All,
I'm hoping to by a '99 Impreza Turbo (UK Spec) within the next few weeks and I've tried quite a few Insurance companies, and these are some of the 'best' quotes I've been offered:
(I'm 26 with 4 NCB and have never claimed or had an accident)
Admiral - £3500
Elephant - £3100
Endsleigh - £2200
Quinn Direct - £2400
Has anyone any other suggestions that I could try (apart from moving to the UK Mainland)? I really dont want to have to pay this sort of money.
Cheers,
GMcM

Welcome to the worst combination about, insurance and NIreland!!Im with Quinns excellant no probs.Try Hughes.Apart from that grin and bear it!I think its against EU law for mainland companys to not/refuse to quote for NI.Was told by a broker once that if I lived on she mainland my premium would have been £550 instead by time it come here it was £1900!!!Good luck m8

I've already tried Hughes, they were gonna charge me £1251 for my V-tec Civic. Not even gonna try them for an Impreza.
Has anyone heard of Club1740 Insurance - England based? They seem willing for new business, cos they said they could beat my best quote if I was ready to pay there and then.

Try all the usual tricks with Endsleigh - insured with them for 3 yrs in N.I.
Always drop price significantly as a "one-off" if you call them in late afternoon and offer to pay all upfront with credit card.
