Just been calling round for renewal prices. Spoke to Greenlight (who seem to know scoobys well) and they warned me that whilst Elephant will add to your premium for modifications the mods are not actually covered, so it the replacement rear wind gets smashed, for example, they will only pay for a replacement standard item. Checked the small print of the elephant policy and there it is - point 11. "Standard parts Replacement - elephant.co.uk does not cover any non-standard parts (modifications) or anything which alters the performance of your car. If you make a claim for loss or damage to your car, we will only pay the cost of replacing parts needed for the car to meet the manufacturer's standard specification."
Not much use eh?

My girlfriend is insured with Heffalump.co.uk and recently had make a claim 'cos some w4nker drove into it in a pub car park and then cleared off !!
Their claims helpline is a premium rate service and costs 60p per minute !!!! So you have the pleasure of thinking how much money its costing you whilst one of their numpties dithers around on the other end of the phone !! B4st4rds !!
Just another point to tuck under your hat with the direct companies...
Cheers,
John
