Just been locked on the phone for nearly an hour trying to get a Quote on a RB5 WR sport..... AA told me that after checking with the Subaru Expert, the RB5 WR sport is an import I explained that it wasn't, and the girl told me rather rudely "to stop arguing with her" Hmmm, is this a blob strop?? Eventually she reluctantly phoned Norwich Union underwriters and spoke to thier Subaru Expert, who apparently has an Impreza and he said it's an import. What a ****** hope you read this post, cause you don't know what the **** your on about (some expert) They wouldn't go to this link and check:-

http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm#1.2

So the moral of the story is if you got an RB5 WR sport don't even bother wasting your time phoning these idiots

Mental isn't it I'm completely pissed off with phoning around now and will accept the best offer I got

Green light quoted £1019 with a tracker and £425 excess....

Liverpool Victoria / Frizzell did it for £819 without a tracker, unlimited Bus. miles parked on the road with a £250 excess.

Insurance is a nightmare to get on an RB5 WR sport

I'm fed up with spending hours on the phone and going through the same old crap...... Is it an import, etc, etc.

I got a resonable quote from Liverpool Victoria for the RB5 WR, £820, 32 live in Bristol, park on the road, unlimited business and private use, no tracker, Protected no claims, £250 excess with a stainless exhaust

AA -- 'they do all the premium searching, so you don't have to'. Got insurance with them last year, £980. No correspondence needed between us until renewal time -- £1300. This was a quote for Axa insurance thru' the AA.

Got a quote from Axa insurance through A-Plan -- £1000
Wonder what the AA's cut is like...
