Default Upgrade 05 WRX sounds

Hi all,

Looking to upgrade my speakers etc in my 05 WRX as the sound seems horrid! I heard a lot of people upgrade the front to 6.5" coaxials is this the best way to go forward?

Also heard that they need spacers to fit as the hole is to small/not deep enough

For the head unit itself I been loking at an Alpine IVE-W530BT unit

Component speakers would be my choice with separate tweeter, the alpine head unit is a good quality set and with prices falling all the times worth a purchase.SJ.

Thanks for the reply

What components would you recommend? I may just stick with Alpine and go throughout with Alpine gear unless you recommend something else?

I had looked at the features etc of the head unit and reviews and it does seem to be a good head unit to go for, I have a single din Alpine unit in my daily with Bluetooth, USB, AUX etc and that seems to give a pretty good sound that was what made me look around for a double version

It really comes down to your budget, components buy the makes of focal, infinity, hertz, etc will always deliver premium sound quality but the price is at the upper scale,I just emailed my good friend who works in London in audio equipment he said what I said really about the makes but said if you want to keep it all alpine DEFINATELY get these Alpine components :Alpine SPR-60C which he runs in his car and rates them highly.SJ.

Corsa C adapters They nearly fit but don't if you get my drift your better off making some up yourself or any proper car audio installer would be able to do it for you or order some Subaru specific adaptershttp://car-speaker-adapters.com/items.php?id=SAK026,these ones are from the USA and are good quality and the foremost thing is that they fit because the ones that are sold over here are a joke and not a funny one if you get my drift.SJ.

Also see that on the dropdown part it said Subaru forester?

Yeah you'll be fine my mate ordered some from there about 5 months ago, when I put my components in I just got my installer to make some up for me out of mdf and then they were treated to some sound deadening, the sound they produce from the front when done right is superb.SJ.
