DAB Radio Worthwhile?
I'm converting my Blobeye to a single din head unit and I'm considering purchasing an Alpine 136bt which has DAB reception, is it worth the extra £150 over the price of the same model albeit the USA version, which is the same except it doesn't have DAB but does have Pandora Internet radio.
Or any other suggestions for a similarly specified unit for less than £200?

Not tried one yet but just like TV I think it will eventually go digital and analogue will be eventually turned off. So at some point we will all have to fit a DAB unit or a DAB unit to a analogue unit.

careful if you import a US unit, unless i've read your post wrong then disregard,
America has 200KHz spacing between their radio channels on the FM band and we have twice the number of channels with 100KHz spacing,so any American spec radio will only let you listen to radio stations that end with an odd number such as 92.3,92.5 etc. Also no RDS and no traffic info if you need to use that type of thing

Thanks for the replies, I decided not to go for a DAB unit in the end and ordered a Kenwood BT92SD as I don't really use the radio that much and prefer more connection options as I have a Galaxy S3 and Kenwood have an Android app for it.
