Newage speaker upgrade
Anyone upgraded their standard speakers on a newage?
I know the standard are pants and am thinking of upgrading them to something better. Not going for the full bass box system but something which will run nicely of a 50x4 built in stereo amp which arent a ball ache to fit.
I understand the doors are not deep so spacers maybe required depending on the speaker choice.

I used Corsa III spacers (from halfrauds) on the blobeye to fit some 6 1/2'' Vibe components. The hawk has some spacers from america fitted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3103515597...84.m1423.l2648 with some Vibe Lite Air components fitted. To my ears they give a good sound but i've not been convinced by the build quality, bought 2 pairs of speakers and one from each set has had the same issue. The magnet has detached from the basket!

Cheers Davey. Sounds like speaker upgrades on the blob are common questions in this forum. I can see/read other interesting posts from people. I guess its an inexpense really to upgrade the speakers once the doorcards are off and spacers are in.
