I have just got an alpine Ida-x305 as I want to use my iPhone in my car but when I installed it the headunit just comes up with a USB connection error message everytime I connect my iphone 4S to it.

Has anyone got one fitted in their car and running an iPhone 4s through it?

Also does anyone know if it it possible to update the firmware on the stereo to correct this issue?
