Default upgrade

i want to upgrade the standard head unit in my 04 WRX.Budget £200...250.Is there anything out there that is virtually a straight swap?All i want is a radio+ cd player.

Depends what you mean by straight swap. I'm guessing you mean double din...
Not sure on them but both my Impreza's have in dash 7'' TV/DVD units fitted with a pocket underneath for the money you're talking about. The sound quality onver the std unit is massive. Especially if you uprate the the front speakers at some point!

i replaced the front speakers and soundproofed the front doors.I just want to upgrade the standard radio/cd.I was hoping i could buy a virtual straight swap double din unit.

hertz speakers fitted by cheltenham hi-fi centre,not sure what they had to do to fit them.

I bought a kenwood double din stereo from a member on here and it is fantastic. Great quality and sounds great and it was a straight fit. That has bluetooth, radio, cd, ipod controls, the lot.

Don't forget though you'll need an iso converter cable too
