Bugeye Front Speakers
Hi,
I am looking at purchasing these speakers as they are a slim depth so shouldnt foul on the window.
My question is the normal size is 5" and these are the commonly fitted 6.5" so will I still need to make some spacers so I can fit a slightly larger diameter speaker ?
Speakers are these;

Or is there a better quality speaker ??
Cheers

you need spacers of some sort. I fitted Vibe Slick 60s with spacers from internet but new problem is i have lost my bass. Speaker sounds are clear but once the cars moving and all the noise that is added its not so good. Now looking at subwoofer or maybe 6 x 9s' on rear parcel shelf which worked very well in my classic. Need the boot space for my frequent travels and luggage.

You can also make some spacers using MDF, use the OE speaker mount and the template and then cut the in hole bespoke to your speaker - I use alpine components for the front doors and have fitted some 6x9's to the rear shelf. The shelf has been lined with 1" thick foam to ensure that it doesn't rattle and I now have some decent sounds without too much additional weight and not loss of boot space
