Bugeye Aerial Connection

Bugeye Aerial Connection
Hi guys,
I have an 02 bugeye wrx with the aerial in the rear window..
It has the standard headunit in however when I bought it there was no radio signal..
Whip it out and boom.. no aerial connection back there at all. the only connection that isnt currently used is a black wire with a flat blade female connection with the word "amp" on it.
Is there something Im missing here? Is this "amp" wire the power amp for the aerial.. if so wheres my aerial plug??
There is also a thinner black wire which has been cut in there too however this looks too thin to be a standard aerial connection.
Any ideas guys?

I have a bugeye with the ariel in the window and I have got the usual connector which goes into the headunit. It sounds like yours is either tucked away due to the previous owner having am aftermarket stereo fitted and just bodged the OEM one back I to sell it.
I think the black wire with the female connector goes onto the side of one of the mounting brackets, Im pretty sure it's an earth but what for I don't know.
Hope this helps you.

WELL..
It turns out that some very special person decided that cutting the aerial connector off was the best idea when removing the last stereo!! Luckily Ive managed to fix and re solder an aerial connection on and signal is great.
re the black female connector... I hadnt thought of that. Ill get it earthed however everything seems to be working

The black wire with a female spade connector fits onto the right hand side of the mounting bracket to provide a secondary earth (not important but there as another safety feature)
