Question Struggling with Aerial connections on Hatch

Hi, need help please!
The standard 08 STi headunit is a Clarion & I'm trying to fit a Kenwood DNX to replace it. I've sourced the wiring adaptor & steering control adaptor lead & facia adaptor but have got stuck with the aerial connection. The lead from the car has the same diameter end fitting but it's too short for the female aerial connection on the kenwood unit. Tried Maplin & Halfords & looked at the autoleads PC5-143 but not sure that'll fit on the car side.
Anyone done a similar changeover?
Cheers, Steve

Never had any of those issues, I run a full Alpine system in my hatch and that plugs in pretty sweet & the pioneer units I fit at work go in no problem either, have you got some photos of whats trying to plug into where & i maybe able to try and assist

Piccies:
Kenwood

Car

Think you can make out that the end piece from the car side ain't long enough to go in the recepticle on the kenwwod unit. If the lead from the car wasn't at a right angle it would push in far enough but because it is, it doesn't!
Cheers, Steve
