i fitted vide slick 60s all round on my hawkeye, last yr.

6.5" on front 5" on rear with spacers i may add,

i used the spacers from here to make sure they fitted with no probs.

http://www.car-speaker-adapters.com/items.php?id=SAK026
and sak40 for the rears,

but have also heard that corsa 3 spacers from halfords also fit.

cheers tom

highly recommend something like above, i tried mdf spacers, its just a headache, so i have something like these on order now.

just be careful what front speakers you buy, anything big and powerful will have huge magnets, and may fowl the door glass. it can be done, but more work involved, and im sick of mine. no door cards on the car for a few weeks now, but thats more to do with my long hours at work, and the crappy weather.

On the other hand, both my fronts and rears sit on home made mdf spacers and have done for 5 years

The ones on the rear shelf are covered with proper stuff from an ICE dealer, and the fronts have been triple coated with paint. I checked the fronts when I checked the door cards a fortnight back and they are still perfect.

I fitted a set of Vibe 6 1/2'' compnents last year using Corsa III adaptors. They were about £15 from Halfrauds and fitted no problem.

Daniel, you need to cut the subaru connector off and splice in a new cable from there. That feeds the crossover then it's 2 outputs from there for the tweeter and mid.
Easy job i have my crossovers velcro'd onto the back of the door card at the back, there's a huge area for it to sit.

they should be ok, as there used in lots of car speaker installs, very popular due to there size and shape.

there are specific ones, which i needed as i have big speakers, but unless your installing something with 60mm depth or bigger, then youll be fine (found in speakers usually £120+ 6.5comps)

Are you reffering to the adaptors from ebay here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6-Spe...fAudioQ5fVideo

If so I ordered some when you posted a link and they arrived last week so you should have yours soon.
