Default Warning! Has this happend to you?

had my UK Turbo for around year now and on Sat my drivers window thought it would explode when i opened it! Great!! I had also noticed for a while previous to this that my drivers door speak was not working. Having a closer look and removing the speaker, the speaker wires had been completely cut and the magnet is all out of postion! hhmmm looks to me like the window mech has cut the wire and hit the magnet resluting in an exploding window! Now i did upgrade my front speakers to Fly Intrgrator 6 which worked fine and sounded great.

These speakers had been in the car for around 9 months or with no issue's.

Any idea's on why this could have happend? Can the window mech come loose and moved?

The speaker's could have been too deep mate resulting in the window hitting it and causing it to get damaged, the impreza's don't have enough space in the doors to fit speakers with a big depth. i recommend you check the other side just to be prevent this happening again

I defo intend to check the other side, just strange to why its done it now. as the speakers have been in car for around 9 months with no real issues.

But tbh, you don't KNOW there are/were no issues? It could have been catching every time it went down...........

And how often do you open the passenger side window? Less than the driver's I'll warrant.
