Quick sound deadening question!
I've just replaced the HU today and tomorrow I'll be fitting new speakers all round. (2005 STi)
I've never used sound deadening previously but I now have enough to cover all 4 doors
My simple question relates to how I apply the sound deadening:-
1. Straight on top of the plastic weather proofing?
2. Remove the plastic weather proofing completely & then fit the sound proofing?
3. As per 2. but then replace the plastic weather proofing on top of the sound deadening?
Cheers all

Hiya
I removed the weather proof plastic completely
I then covered up al the holes using thin metal plates , silicone and self tapper screws
Then I covered the lot with dynamat extreme
I added a layer of closed cell foam on top of that then but you needn't go that far if you like
Sounds great and much more solid clunk when you shut the doors
