Default Question about Replacing front door speakers

Looking at my door panel there is some kind of tweeter by the window switches , If i were to replace my speakers with some Components that have seperate tweeters could i put them inplace of this or would i need to drill into the doorcard , Checking as il just order some without the seperate tweeter if so.

It depends where you want to place the tweeters and also there size. Some tweeters can be quite large and you would struggle to fit them in the stock location. You could run coaxs then you wouldnt need to worry about the tweeter location, not quite as good as comps but decent ones arnt bad.

i have components fitted to mine, the problem i had was the tweeter box was larger than the standard one so had to either drill door and doorcard to get it to fit ,didnt fancy doing this so i just removed the tweeter from its box and it srewed into the old ones place, problem solved
