Does anybody know where i can purchase a facia plate for the fitment of a single din stereo as opposed to the double din fitted in MYO1 wrx Impreza ? I've seen the pocket which is available from subaru but imho it looks poor and i'm a wondering if a third party supplier has produced a quality facia yet ?? any help appreciated

The standard stereo has to go...do I replace with a better double din, what is available? Or a single din and a fascia blank?

When I bought my MY01, I had the dealer install my single din Head unit. They fitted the pocket (that is fitted as standard in the non-WRX), looks fine and is a great place to stick all my stuff when I am driving :-)

My My02 is going to have two separate units. A single din stereo a navigation unit. The facia plate makes the dash look very tacky. Another option is filling it up with boost gauges.

 

Why tacky, it’s just an extra storage slot? Although it could do with a rubber lining like the Hire car Astra I had the other day...

 

I have the single din pocket fitted too. It is handy for stuff as the on top bin has gone on the MY01. Plans to mount the lcd screen for an mp3 player in that gap though.
