Ive only had the car a few days, MY06 STI, and the one thing that lets it down is the Stereo!

Ive not got alot to throw at it as i have some other mods in mind

Im looking at around £200 mark and will need speakers to go with it as well.

What do you think to this?

Ive just upgraded to a kenwood DPX501U..

Excellent sound qualities, build in preamp, preouts, and best of all usb input on the front.

An older model, but I have the DPX502U in our Kyron and the sound is first class (with decent speakers of course)

I picked it up on ebay for under £30

^^^^ thats the one i have in my hawkeye and even on standard speakers its great, but even better on uprated speakers,

Do you want a double din or single din unit. I have an Alpine CDE-103BT which is awesome. I have some alpine components in the front door and 6x9s on the parcel shelf which makes a huge difference, but the HU and front speakers only owe me £230.

Thanks for the link, competitive prices too. I really want a decent double din unit, and i now its a bit sad, but i want one that illuminates red to go with the dash and defi's

Would i need any other parts to fit in a 2006 hawkeye? Any installation problems, speaker recommendations etc. much appreciated.

under £30 ??? bargain, just the sort of thing I'm after been watching ebay for a few weeks searching double din but it's mainly non branded touch screens and newish alpines for loads of cash
