CD Text

Does anyone know if any CD's are produced with CD Text info.
My Pioneer head unit (DEH6100R)& multichanger claim to be CD Text compliant but have never found a CD which displays titles.

OK. Got a new writer - Yamaha CRW2100S.
Also got Nero V5.5 burning software with it (which I haven't used before).
Still can't seem to write text even though 'Write CD Text' is selected in Nero and all tracks have title and artisit names in CD Text boxes.
Anyone got any good ideas.
In process of updating writer bios to see if that helps.

Nero 5.5 does not always burn CD Text, depend on the album. Since with certain albums, it will never burn the Text and with others it will always burn it. e.g U2 Allyou can't leave behind. - Works but David Gray White Ladder does not.
My advice is try burning using a CD-RW until you get it to work. At least you won't burn any coasters.
I have started using a shareware program called Feurio

Burn your own is the answer - I've got Adaptec Easy CD Creator and that works, but the default option is not to write text ! However, when you look through the options it's lurking there......
If you want one to try then let me know and I'll send you one.
I'm happy to copy any for you - clearly I wouldn't keep a copy for myself as that would be illegal
I've got a Sony 400 disc changer at home and I'm about half way through copying my collection to go in it - gets a bit tedious after 200 discs, but then again I've been **** enough to put all the track names on too.

Hi Gizzy u ok m8 ??
I thought you had to put the titles in yourself and the player then displayed them.
I have shall I say non genuine disks and if I can be bothered just enter the disc name and it displays it when playing.

Cheers all
Got it working by up-reving the firmware in the writer. Nero now writes text ok.
If you 'backup' a bought CD to another CD then if it doesn't contain text you're not going to get text on the 'backup'. What you need to do is record them as wav's to hard disk and re-compile & enter the track names in the burning software - not too time consuming.
Own compilations no problem now.
How you doing Sideways - not bust them wheels between you & babber I hope ? With the Pioneer you can enter disk titles on the head unit but CD Text gives you track names as well.

If you have a seperate reader and writer then you can copy straight from one disc to another and add text - no need to save to PC.
The other advantage of text is that you don't have to re-label your discs everytime you change them over.
