Default Sony stereo into classic scooby?

Mate gave me a Sony stereo but not sure
which cable I need to fit it in my 97 wagon.

I have a iso cable to convert the subaru connection
to iso but the connections won't fit the stereo(typical sony).
Is there another adapter I need?

It's Sony Specific. They come with the headunit and plug into the back of the headunit, mine then went straight onto the car's wiring. I used to have a spare, but my youngest sold it with his old car.

I suggest you visit a GOOD ICE dealer, take the headunit and maybe go in the car it needs attached to, so they can come out and see. They WILL be available, even if they only tell you what to look for on e-bay

Would this be the right cable?
SONY CD MP3 WIRING HARNESS ADAPTOR PLUG ~ 16 PIN to ISO on eBay (end time 01-Sep-09 23:31:18 BST)

I already have this cable
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/adaptor-SUBARU...d=p3286.c0.m14

From looking at both it looks like one plugs into
the other, would that be right?

Difficult to tell without either taking out my headunit, or looking at what you have on yours.
